Crime museum Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Crime museum Rothenburg

Rothenburg ob der Tauber has a very special museum to offer-  Germany's most important museum of  history of rights and law which is specialised on the topics of laws, legal work and punishments of the last 1000 years. The museum's aim is to convey more than dry facts. Medieval instruments of torture and devices for body punishments either amuse visitors due to the absurdity or send shivers down their spines. Next to the exhibition on thrilling criminal cases , a large part of the museum is devoted to witch hunts, a topic which today causes heads to shake with disbelief.
