Air museum, Amberg

Air museum Amberg

The historical "Klösterl", a building with the fitting name „castle of angels“ (Engelsburg, built in the early 14th century) is located on the most beautiful square of Amberg. On three floors and 650 square metres of exhibition space there are unique  „air rooms“ (21) , which all deal with the subject of air.
Apart from the exhibition there are lectures, readings, tours and concerts. On the ground floor there are changing exhibitions about design, architecture, art, technology and every day art.
The air museum Amberg was founded in 2006 on private initiative (idea, concept, management: Wilhelm Koch) receives no public funding and therefore is financed solely on entry fees, donations and „air helpers“ (members of the air museum´s supporting society).
